The Icosahedron

My logo’s primary image is a shape that I didn’t know about until recently – the icosahedron.

The icosahedron is a shape with 12 angles. I specifically use the planar graph version of the shape – at this level of geometry, there are multiple ways to visually represent a shape. I think this one is pretty.

I’m not a big math person, but my son is. I asked him to give me a shape with as many angles as possible, and he immediately said the rhombicosidodecahedron, dodecahedron (his favorite shape), and the icosahedron. I picked the one that fit my design best, and here we are.

I’ve been working in digital asset management since 2014. I’ve been a cataloger, implementation manager, strategic consultant, business analyst, vendor, and administrative practitioner. I’ve seen some stuff – from several angles. Getting the theme?

I’ve learned so much in every role, and it all informed my holistic approach to digital asset management. I’m the person who gets it from every angle. I’m the best and worst client a DAM vendor will ever have, because I know what’s going on behind the scenes. I speak many languages – engineer, librarian, marketing director, photographer, and end user, to name a few.
